weightless workout {no gym membership required}

My {weightless workout} is featured on Randomly Specific today.  In my free time, I’m a Personal Trainer that rarely uses weights or dumbells during a workout.  I’m a strong believer that meaningful (and effective) workouts can be done without the help of weights. 

Grab a resistance band (or buy one here) & a pair of shoes, and you’re ready for my {weightless workout}.

  4. Great workout Melody! My daughters (ages 5 & 7) LOVE doing these kinds of workouts with me. Infact tonight we were doing walking lunges, sideplanks and pushups. I’ll have to try this workout with them tomorrow morning.

  5. Yup, I do use them plus DBs, BBs, machines at the gym. And the fitball, Bosu etc. Love to incorporate varieties into my workouts and it’s always a different feeling with each item.

  6. I can’t wait to give this workout a try! I’ve been looking for a “portable” workout to take on an upcoming trip! I think will be the winner!!

    I do have resistance bands, but I forget I have them, and never use them! Time to pull them out of the closet!

  7. I didn’t realize you were a personal trainer:) I am studying for my NASM cert and am really excited! My goal is to help people learn to work out without the need for a gym and expensive equipment too. I agree that you don’t need a bunch of “stuff” to get a good workout:)

  8. I love resistence bands. I wish more people realized that you don’t need expensive equipment to workout. There are plenty of things around the house to use also.

  10. Hmm… I do strength training with and without weights all the time, but have not tried a resistance band… I might have to add that to the mix!
