In other (fun) running news: I have been dying to start trail running but dragging my feet on actually buying a pair of trail shoes. Last week I saw these bad boys at Hudson Trail Outfitters – it was pretty much love-at-first-sight:

Those shoes are sweet. I like the brooks cascadia. I dont' have a pair, but I'm hoping when I go in to get fitted for trail shoes, those are the ones I can get.

Love the shoes!! I am curious….trail running obviously helps in the training process-but what exactly do you find is most beneficial?I am thinking of starting up in about 3 weeks to strengthen etc….

trail runs have made my ankles so much stronger, but i have yet to get a pair of true blue trail shoes. for some reason the shoes i always get fit for NEVER have pink boooooooooooooooooooooo

I just picked up my first pair of trail running shoes too! so exciting. they say trails get incredibly addicting.
Just found your blog. I'm a beginning runner and am in no way ready for trail running but…I found this trail run that is outside of my hometown and it is so interesting that I wanted to share it with someone. So here ya go!
