It shouldn’t come as a surprise that I consider myself a “runner”. I’ve been running for as long as I can remember – and refuse to stop while I’m pregnant. But, as I’ve become a smarter and older wiser runner, I’ve found that yoga is just as important as my running. Yoga helps with flexibility, injury, posture, and keeps things interesting.
I try to make it to yoga at least 2/week but with my work schedule, travel, house hunting, and a babe on the way, it doesn’t always happen. Sometimes the best I can do is a mini-yoga sesh at my local gym or on my patio.
If you like yoga, or are thinking about giving it a try, check out this {awesome} yoga sesh from Lululemon trainer, Kerri Kelly. And the best part, besides a good workout? It’s only 34 minutes long – so you can give it a try and get on with your day.
thank you! Ive been looking for a Yoga workout!!
Thanks for the link. I’ll add it to my yoga days!
No way! Love this, my current yoga for runners dvd is an hour and half, sometimes I just don’t have time to go that long. This is Puuuuurfect!
Thanks for sharing the routine. I was just thinking that I needed to do some yoga today. Actually, I need to do yoga a lot more often… but I find excuses. ha
I tend to find excuses too (especially for swimming), but have found that yoga is one that I try not to make up excuses for 🙂
Yay! I have been looking for a new yoga workout for crosstraining days! Thanks!
I need to check this out. I always put it off and and the end it’s just lame excuses. That needs to stop! 🙂
Hello Mel,
this is perfect ! I’m trying to get my “home practice” started and this is excellent. just finished this one……
thank you,
needing some happy hips
Hi Ginny! I loved this workout, too – perfect for a quick yoga sesh. Hope to see you when I’m in Hattiesburg next week 🙂
I agree that yoga is SO beneficial. I typically do restorative yoga and try to incorporate it once a week, although I’ve done a terrible job doing so lately. I love lululemon and need to do more yoga so this is perfect. Thanks for sharing the video!
Just did this! I need some major work on my yoga but it felt good to get some deep stretches in, especially since this is my first official week of training.
