#likeagirl

I can’t watch this video without getting tears in my eyes. For many reasons, this video is powerful. empowering. sobering. uplifting. As a new mom, I hope I can teach LJ (and future children) that girls can do anything, and being a girl it isn’t a “bad” thing.

Imagine how the world can change when the rules are rewritten. When “like a girl” doesn’t have limits, when it isn’t an insult.

I’m proud to run #LikeAGirl

  1. I still have an old tshirt that my dad bought me at the Women’s World Cup in 1999. It shows a cartoon on the front of girls cheering at a soccer game and holding up signs that proclaim “you play like a girl!” There are two men sitting behind them and they say to each other, “remember when that was an insult?”

I’m never giving that shirt up. #likeagirl
